I recently notified the seller of the following coin, that his coin was counterfeit: http://cgi.ebay.com/Beautiful-Hard-To-Find-1799-Draped-Bust-Silver-Dollar_W0QQitemZ320119993605QQihZ011QQcategoryZ11976QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem He said prove it, and I did, and he did not remove the listing. I reported the item to ebay, and the response I got was (not verbatim of course) We will review the coin, send it to an anti-fraud community group, who will then forward the information to the ANA, who then will review the information, and if deemed counterfeit, will contact the seller the directly. It seems to me, that rather than pull the listing, they would rather send the coin through a painfully long process which will not even be concluded by the time the auction ends, so that they can still collect their money, despite someone getting screwed. Seems very dishonest, and very very intentional to me that they made it such a drawn out process.
