Spoke to his secretary just a moment ago and she tells me that everything has been sent over to their delievery dept for processing. She said it is just a matter of time...... could be up to another 3 weeks!!! :crying: That is what she said. I asked her what is up with the mint doing this. In past years, whenever I saw on my account that the item I bought was "Being Processed", that I usally received the coin within a week from that time. But now it is taking months!!! She appolgized and stated that they are trying to work out some problems, but I let her know that the time frame is unacceptable. Now I will probably get me coin with a big scratch across the face of it.

 

Upon checking my e-mail this morning I find that the mint has finally shipped my Braille coins. :smile

 

My status has also changed,got the e-mail yesterday. The proof and uncirculated have both been shipped.

Lowest bidder strikes again...........

There are two tracking numbers for the uncirculated and one for the proof. I'm don't think lefty knows what righty is doing.

At least it appears as if Ken is getting his coins. Maybe some good came out of the conversation.

 

Ed Goldman (in another thread) mentioned that he got his Braille's yesterday so things are starting to move....

Just checked mint tracking and mine were shipped today. Cannot figure out the mint yesterday the shipped the rest of my order if they would of waited 1 more day they could of shipped it all in one package. Well that's the U.S. goverment they dont care how they waste our money.

 

What you describe has happened to me as well. They packaged up some proof sets and dollar rolls in one box and in a separate box (all by itself) two rolls of half dollars. All of the items ordered could have been easily shipped in the first box.

They couldn't wait 2 days and ship everything together to save themselves some shipping costs.

ALL the Braille coins are shipping including the easy open!

I just don't understand the e-mail with the 3 shipping codes for the 3 sets of silver proof coins. I haven't gotten the e-mail for the Braille coins yet maybe it will also have 3 codes.

Now I know why they split up my order. To avoid expedited shipping.

I made sure my order was over $300.00 to obtain expedited shipping upgrade. However, by splitting up the shipment each package is under the $300.00 minimum to receive the upgrade to expedited shipping without increased shipping cost.

Another problem is that after the first e-mail for the shippment of the silver proof set, my credit card was billed and has since been processed. After tonights e-mail my card was billed with the exact same amount again and is listed as pending. I was expecting a much higher amount to cover the Braille coins that were ordered but it has not been billed to my credit card yet. I'll wait and see what happens to the double billed silver proof transaction and see if it changes to the actual amount for the Braille coins.

This is the first time I've had this much of a mint order breakdown with any of my mint orders.

 

Just checked my credit card billing again and the charge for the Braille coins has hit. However the double billing for the silver proof coins is still there. Just hope it doesn't change to billed instead of pending.
