Do you suppose they are just going to begin grading some other collectible like vinyl records or beanie babies?
We've been promised something really BIG. So my guess is something to do with new improved grading capability, like computerized grading, with the photo of the coin graded digitally encyrped on a RFID chip inside a new improved slab. For those with PCGS copper coins the new service will incude an ability to renew your coin condition/grade on an annual basis to ensure that your warranty will never expire, just like your kitchen appliances.
For all the BS and serious answers I have seen, there is one thing I guarantee they will not do - LOWER their prices.
Hmm, can you zap a RFID chip from the outside, and add you own recoded one that would read what you wanted when checked? I hear some are almost microscopic and maybe you could hide one near the holograph ( nah, no one would do that ) Do the chinese make microscopic RFID chips?
Interesting thought... it's possible. But why announce that at the Springtime ANA Convention ? If they're doing a new line of grading, they should consider slabbing ancients. NGC is way ahead of 'em there. Love it or hate it, it's the wave of the future for ancient coins.
They finally convinced a private party after much begging and cajoling to allow them to authenticate the worlds first 4 cud mudslide Lincoln cent....
....are these accessible on the these forums? enlighten me. i read doug's reply about photobucket. actually that's where i got the one i posted. i just thought there is a way to do it right here without going thru the bucket. i'm spoiled with NGC and PCGS set up.
:hatch: How are you missing them? When I click on "QUOTE" or "POST REPLY", there is a whole set of them for my use immediately to the right. Just to make sure, there is even a "[MORE]" button on the bottom. If you are just doing "QUICK REPLY", you will need to click on "GO ADVANCED".:computer:
I think Doug is correct about this one and that is it. God help us with this colusion. Talk about the "fox in the hen house"!!! I can only help to dread what may be next.
Yup, we have plenty of smileys, always have. I wonder grizz - under User CP, Edit Options, in the very last box at the bottom of the page, what do you have selected there ? I suspect that you have : Basic Editor- A simple text box : selected as your choice. You need to change that to : Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls : Then you will be able to see the smileys
They're going to officially request slabbing 'Themansionshop's' 'Pennache' Canadian cent, and it will be on display at the Boston ANA show this summer???
