I have found information about similar coins. But nothing about the 1966. Here are some photos that I have taken.
Impossible. Sorry, some kind of alteration. If it were a true silver planchet it would be a silver dime planchet which is smaller than a copper Cent planchet. Think about it.
It is silver color all the way through. I scraped a small section around the rim and it shows nothing but silver. The copper peeled off and left it only silver underneath.
Why do you think it is silver? Why would they use copper to cover the silver? Why is the Reverse without the memorial image? There are no Cent sized silver planchets. This is one ugly mystery coin! And where the heck do you keep finding these things? Are you buying them off of Ebay hahahaha
I really don't think it is silver. I am just referring to the color. I don't know why it would be coated. Your right, it is ugly. And I find this stuff roll searching. Lol and also you can see the first two letters of ONE. Also part of the Lincoln Memorial.
