My dad would give me coins he found in circulation (wheats, silver) and tell me to keep them as they would some day be valuable -- so guys if you have daughters or grand-daughters (or sons and grand-sons) start taking them to shows and giving them special little treasures, exposure to the hobby is what will get them interested.&nbsp; My step-son has two year twins (boy and girl) and he is buying them proof sets and shows them his coins.&nbsp; Now I am not sure how much they understand but they know the word &quot;coin&quot;.&nbsp; So it will be interesting to see if they BOTH join the hobby.</p><p><br /></p><p>Besides coin collecting, many of my other interests (and even my occupation) are mostly male dominated -- could just be the way people who tend to enjoy coins are &quot;wired&quot;.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Anyway overall I enjoyed this post and got some good laughs from it![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
