Well, after a few years of trial an error and some help from various places I have begun minting and wanted to drop by and show my Hard Times Token.</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://www.tribalsoup.com/catdagger/hardtimes.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>This is the best strike of this coin I have made so it got to be the show piece, I am still working on alignment among others.</p><p><br /></p><p>This is a Hard Times Token Half Cent (1/2₵)</p><p><br /></p><p>Hard Times is repeated twice on the obverse with &#039;Bona Fide&#039; or <i>Good Faith</i> cutting through basic decorative elements.</p><p><br /></p><p>On the reverse is the phrase &#039;Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto&#039; or <i>Let the good of the people be the supreme law</i> or <i>The welfare of the people shall be the supreme law</i>, a quote from Cicero&#039;s De Legibus. The coin has a denomination of one half cent (1/2) which appears in the center of the reverse surrounded but a laurel wreath with a star.
