I don't have glasses to dust, I still have my beer buckets you carried home from the local tap.

This thread reminds me of the famous Silver Dollar Bar in Montana. Over 10,000, yes a one with 4 zeros, silver dollars in the bar which is made of Lucite. It's amazing but it's a crying shame that someone thought to do that with them.

That bar has been there for decades. The silver dollars on the wall are merely covered by a sheet of archival Plexiglas. I'm not sure about the countertop.

That's the one. The countertop as I recall, a long, long, long time ago was embedded. Still, it's an impressive display. Too long ago to remember.

There's a actually several bars out west that have silver dollars encased in the bar top, and a couple of them even "borrow" the same name - Silver Dollar Bar.

We've shown off some nice beer related items but I've yet to read any posts that say what their favorite beer is.
I'm fond of a Vermont craft beer that unfortunately I can only get when I visit Vermont or parts of Connecticut (or my brother in-laws house in Albany, NY). Its called Lawson's Finest Sip of Sunshine. It's an outstanding imperial IPA.

Heck. Hear tell they's got a brewery down there. :) Also recall hearing something about a fire there. Can you confirm old/young fellow? Still, my supply of the stuff has not been hindered in the least. :)

The Silver Dollar Bar in Durango Colorado stretches from one street to another. It has a main entrance at each side and is a city block long. I walked along it, and strangely, never saw any CC dollars in it. ( Not that they couldn't be there, but only in extremely small numbers).

Well its old fellow... I guess we're the same age. The brewery fire was actually about 2 years ago and didn't really affect the production. They are in Tampa and surrounded by many new craft breweries. However they are very popular in Florida.

And you're from Long Island? I was born in Rego Park, Queens and went to college in Farmingdale. Back when it was the Ag and Tech school.

God awful, we've a bunch in common. My parents went to Farmingdale (agricultural) college back in the forties. My ( #3) daughter just graduated from there with a degree in dental hygiene. She's seeking a baccalaureate there as well. Shoot....two year school for when I was growing up. Now that my baby is there, many more options......:)
