Finding this Tallgrass "W" in a roll from the bank, of course, makes me happy because it means that they are still out there to be found. But it also makes me happy because I realize that in all likelihood, these 70 rolls of hand wrapped quarters I just bought are probably unsearched, leading to opportunity to discover more happy quarters. Happy and happy!
Nice find! I haven't found one of the Tall Grass Prairie yet, but haven't given up! LOL Glad to see there are still some out there!
Didn't get a "w" yet but I received 5 Washington Crossing the Delaware from the Philly mint when I went to Stop and Shop in Hyde Park, NY. Now I need the "D" mint and some Tuskegee Airman coins and my set will be close to finished.
Yes. They are still out there and in BU also still.. Last week I got a solid roll from the casino of Marsh Billings Rockefeller Ps with 5 Ws in it that I posted in the quarter hunting thread. You just have to look and you will find them eventually.
What is really sad you try and talk to the tellers at the banks, they have "NFC" that is in NY State. I guess they are lucky to have a JOB. I try to explain what I need and they say I have to get the assistant Manager to OK almost anything.
Sweet! Out of the same box of recycled quarters I found three W's and 2 silver. This is what makes coin roll hunting so much fun. (The next box I was skunked). HAHA!
I went to my daughters local Hannaford Market in Red Hook Dutchess county spotted the coin star machine and found 2 silver dimes a 1964-D and a 1957Philly will put them with my silver stuff.
