The same goes for a so-called "<i>movement</i>" that embraces the idea that one is unquestionably guilty, regardless of evidence or proof, simply because they happen to be a man. This is nothing more than the reverse of times past when a man was to be believed simply because he's a man and a woman viewed with suspicion simply because she's a woman. It's simply mind boggling that people who clearly so deeply believe that they're embracing/promoting <i>equality</i> are so willing to engage in and/accept anything but. </p><p><br /></p><p>And before the obligatory accusations of misogyny or bigotry arise, I was raised solely by women after my father's death and also have a young daughter who exists as the light in my eyes. Were someone to physically harm her in <i>any</i> way I fear what I would do in response, but my love for and willingness to protect my own in no way means I'm also willing to blind myself to the reality that people are people, and that sex, color, ethnicity, religion, orientation, or whatever convenient little category used to separate from the greater whole are constructs of the imagination and are in no way suggestive of truth, fact, or honesty.</p><p><br /></p><p>If those embracing the "<i>me too</i>" thing truly cared about what's right they would <i><u>demand</u></i> that those discovered to be lying receive the same punishment (or worse) than the accused innocent would have, but this isn't what happens, is it? No, instead such women are generally given a pass with at most a little slap on the wrist, but in some cases are still held up as shining examples of feminine strength and/or lauded for their abominable actions.
