It is $5 off STANDARD shipping, so you select the $12.95 option and it gives you a $5 credit. Makes it $7.95 for standard vs. $4.95 for slow. Rob
Right! But so far "slow" has been 2-day for me with the new-Mint website/fullfillment operation. Not sure why it works so well, there's no reason to pay more for delivery.
So I ordered 2 more of each, but then called back to cancel. Aft ebay and paypal and shipping fees, I would not see much profit. PLUS I have been spending way too much on coins lately, and have been keeping more than I sell, hehe.
I had already purchased the Uncirculated dollar on eBay for a little above issue price and both halves UNDER (both for $33!). I just added the dollar Proof to round out the set (not counting the gold). I saved the $3 and went for standard since I don't mind waiting and it would probably have arrived while I was out of town for Christmas anyway. Rob
Lower mintage maybe? (I don't know what the mintages of the two actually are.) Or maybe you should sell quick before things return to normal.
I made out like a bandit. I sold some 'golds' at a premium, though the wife invested it all in antiques. Had I the for site, I would have disguised my winnings......Lose lips sink numismatic ships......
'cause they like uncirc's? And the lower mintage that they enjoy? Just a thought Dave. Nothing more.......
To me, a proof just looks like a shiny mirror. I prefer to see the coin dance when rotated, like only UNCs can do
I just ordered a proof just to see what will show up. I did notice one improvement as I have everything shipped to my PO Box they are shipping this USPS Priority Mail so I'll be getting it a week sooner that usual. S&H still $4.95
