Wow!!.... A couple of years back I ran into a 100 ounce bar at a jewelry repair shop. And the fellow was willing to sell it to me below spot. After asking some of the others here, I finally resigned that the only way I could verify the deal was to drill into the core.... So I too passed.
The only place I could hide that is in a boat with an eye-hook and rope attached so it would look like a boat anchor.
I saw 1 like this at the last coin show in Vegas at the Palace Station. It was huge and very heavy. I could barely move it. I think it was a 1,000 ounces ?
Cool to look at, but I would hate having to move it. I would rather have many 10 ounce bars than that huge 1.
I will stick with these beautiful Scottsdale 100 grams silver bars... I got 2 more coming in the mail.
These I can afford too. 2 years ago I could buy these at $70-80 now they range from $135-155. Yes I understand the premium on them, but I really like tham.
Because that is what I like and can afford. I also like the feel of them. Have you held them in your hand ? At the present time I cannot afford 10 ounce bars.
