27 is a good number of llamas for anyone.

 

Oh yea, its crazy at the barn. She has 26 Llama, 18 of them are pregnant. They are all due in the spring. A Llama carries its baby for 11 1/2 months!!! And so far the average Llama is around 35 lbs at birth. Full grown, a large male will be around 1,000lbs. But yea, 26 is alot of Llama. Most of them are together in one pasture and when you walk by, they all run to the fence and stare at you as you walk past. They are very defensive animals and will fight to protect their herd. Alot of the time, people will put a Llama in with a herd of sheep becase the Llama will protect the herd from predators such as coyote. And they dont spit at you like most people say. They do spit but mostly at each other. And they only spit at people if they have reason to be scared of someone. Anyhow, they are cool animals. But wow are they ugly as sin when they get old and they get their big buck teeth.
