Please tell me this is a typo or that I'm reading it wrong..... $2.95 for all four items? Not that cost should matter, but... No matter how pitiful her actions may be, they are topped by ebay's. Are they really that desperate for bidders (not even buyers) that they will turn a blind eye to such extreme misconduct? Apparently so, but where does it end, and when does "too much" finally become too much?
Yes. I give a nice shipping discount for buyers of multiple items. And I plan on calling eBay since they haven't done anything to suspend this buyer's account after 20 or so non-payments (that we know of) over the past 6 months.
Ahh... I see. I wasn't sure if the $2.95 was shipping or the total purchase price. Either way though, the bigger problem here rests solely upon ebay's shoulders; hopefully something will be done, but I, unfortunately, wouldn't count on it.
Ebay, at the insistence of activist investors, spun off Paypal into a separate company. While it may have been in the best interest of the investors (who sold their stake happily at a huge profit) it left EBay without its growth engine. Translation: EBay ain't about to ban any buyer who might provide the company revenue. The OP's pal is a good example.
EBay couldn't care less about you. Whenever you do sell it, eBay will still get the same amount of commission for practically doing nothing.
I don't disagree, but to a multi-billion dollar corporation, it is nothing. If they lose 1% of their business and don't have to do anything, I think they are probably okay with that.
I just called eBay customer service. They took my report and said she'll be "taken care of." Wonder if that means they'll send a hit-man to her house, or if they'll coddle her and give her some free eBay bucks?
Tell me about it. Why, I think I'll go ahead and set up my own international selling platform with millions of users, millions of transactions per day, and ads all over the Internet and the real world. After all, it's not like it would cost me anything. Money for nothin'! It's hard for me to see how they can maintain their current volume while treating sellers so badly, and treating problem buyers so casually. But it's hard to argue with their ongoing volume.
They're the only show in town. And have become complacent and arrogant about that. Unfortunately, it would take years to build a worthy competitor to them.
Agreed if you were just trying to take them down as a whole. I do think quality coin sales will continue to migrate elsewhere though. Only show in town or not, at some point a lot of people will say it's just not worth it anymore when buyers can literally do no wrong
So, when i see a coin i like but don't bid on it because i have a few bids out there and don't know how much i'll spend until those auctions end, i'm doing it wrong? Crap.
eBay needs both buyers and sellers , to say one is more important is ludicrous . But buyers like this certainly aren't needed or wanted .
Has this buyer in question been banned by eBay ? I checked her profile and it states "not a registered user".
