I should go to the VAM World Forum but there are some surly unpleasant people that turn me off there. Shame because John @ VSS is super nice guy. I think I will end up paying VSS anyway just to confirm variety, but it's frustrating send a coin off for grading and then for variety somewhere else, but this almost seems like a discovery die pair. Yeah, I know ANACS specializes in it, but if its a red herring discovery they won't attribute it. John has attributed many discovery coins.

I didn't take a ton of pictures, its all about date doubling here. Not a rare coin, it just interests me. 1886P, UNC condition of some grade. The bar under the base of the 1 one screams VAM 20, but if there is a hook in the lower loop of the 6, it's early die stage. It's not prominent. There is also a barb underneath the crossbar at the top of the 1, but none of the pickup points fits VAM 12 either. No idea.
