I do not use Heritage price charts nor anyone's charts. I only use past sales records. BTW, those charts are not Heritage's. They are Numismedia and PCGS. That is exactly what I was saying. Yet, the page you copied and posted was a CLEANED coin that sold for MORE than your quoted price The last time one sold for your price (problem free) was Jun 12, 2005. Prior to that, Jan 6, 2004 and a third Jan 6, 2004. All others are problem coins and/or exceed your price. 5 and 6 year old prices are just a bit outdated for me. I don't know how you figure your costs, but mine includes what I pay for shipping. Sorry, but I already have one that I use. FWIW, since I joined here, I would guess about 20% of the Heritage prices quoted on this site have been quoted by me. None from "their" charts.
True, But I think SLQ's are still pretty hot at the moment. I'd buy a pile of similar coins for $75-$80 which is what I think you are implying they are worth.
They are posted on the Heritage web site – that is what I meant by “Heritage price charts. “ I know the source is Numismeida and PCGS . I never said to look at the price history so why do you keep bringing that up ? I said look at the current wholesale and retail prices. If you want to use prior 5 years old price history as a basis to purchase your coins please let me know know – I will sell you my whole collection for 2008 prices. I doubt you could afford the coins but they are yours for those prices. Shipping cost is irrelevant to this discussion so you really need to stop using that as a cost basis .
My causual look at prices seems to show that since 2008 there has been at least a 20% drop in prices on most of the types of coins I've had interest in....including SLQ. Ruben
