Guess the original date on this coin.

Whoa, whoa.... wait a minute. Something doesn't smell right here. Now, since you've talked with him, he's a good guy deserving of the benefit of the doubt, but earlier in this very thread you said....

First you feel bad for "anyone who has bought anything" from him, were "suspect" of "everything" he sells, and directly questioned the very authenticity of not one but two of his offerings. Did his oh-so important feedback magically skyrocket in an instant, or was it the same when accusations were being made? I mean no disrespect, sir, but this goes straight to the very point I was hoping to make.

Contrary to what some seem to think, high ebay feedback in no way means the guy is an upstanding seller, and the simple fact that some of the biggest dreck peddlers on the site have stellar feedback proves this. This fellow, while not one of the biggest, certainly falls into the same category; he's a dreck peddler who ridiculously over-fluffs and overgrades his wares. I could only speculate as to how he acquires some of his more costly raw material, but it doesn't take an evil genius to do what he does. This stuff is out there in droves...


As for why I posted the original photo, it better shows what could help identify the coin, and is as simple as that. I don't care if he claims lint, thinks the new photo better represents the coin, or if God himself demanded the change. Even if you disagree, this could be a fine exercise in looking deeper, in looking beyond the obvious and setting paranoia (that's very common on this board) aside, for one wishing to do so. All it'll take is a little effort; no more and no less than I invested into doing the same. The evidence we have to work with is minimal, but is often the case when working from iffy online photos. Things in this hobby/business are not always as they appear, and is why looking deeper is so important. A great gift has been bestowed upon collectors today by those who came before. Collectors, even dealers of the past didn't have such easy access to the immense amount of information available today and is a shame to let it go to waste.

Can anyone say VAM and I don't even collect Morgans or Vams other than a few I find interesting . Sure looks good to me !!!!!

Speaking of that I only read half of what you wrote. You lost me after the first paragraph and a half. It just wasn't interesting to me. No offense, but it seemed like rambling and it I forgot what you were talking about.
