Hey I just spotted this thread. After looking at the this coin I voted MS-64 without reading any of the posts. All I have
to say is " WhaaaZuu and it's a type 2 too." I spotted the rim dings after voting but I stick to my 64. I've seen worse conditions on 64 and 65's. IKES are really tough to find without any scratches, marks, or dings. This is one of the better ones. I'm scouting for my last IKE and I need a 1972 type 2. But this ones out of my price range right now.
Congrats ATARIAN on having a really nice IKE.

By way of example, here's a very bad photo of my 64:

That I can fully believe is a 64!

    Is this a PCGS MS64?

And Atarian.......close the poll........stragglers are creeping in affecting the results.

  5. If that is not an example of inconsistent grading from PCGS, then I do not know what is.

    I am just jealous I only have a 63. :( TC

In my opinion, the obverse is a 63, the reverse is a 65. So I don't know if I'd say it's overgraded at 64, it looks like it has FANTASTIC luster.

PCGS really did give her a bump in grade, probably for the luster.

Ok, help me close the darn poll. I have BS in CIS and still can't figure it out. I was always taught that that means the software is not user friendly...

    A little help?

That seem to be a very fair perspective.

It is always tough to judge luster from photos, and it seems to me luster is what PCGS really looks for in MS.
