Really hard to tell from a photo isn't it? That's why grading or the GSA slabs are important. But there is a saying. Scared money doesn't make money. :D There are risks to be taken, but this isn't one I'm making.

And you don't want to be the one holding the torch.

Here is one from my inherited collection. It's interesting because I don't know what kind of holder this is, and who issued them? Some dealer 40-50 years ago scribbled a number on the cardboard on the front. I have no idea what it meant to that dealer. So what's the grade, opinions please. I could not get good lighting in the room I'm in now. Tried the flash and tried indirect lighting. Anyways...... I'm thinking about taking it to a dealer and get an eyeball grading opinion. Pricing gets crazy in MS64 and higher. If the grade opinion is good enough, I'll take to a dealer and send it off to NGC. What do they do when a coin has an original case? Just put their sticker on the original case? I have no idea if the case is even worth keeping, but it's kind of neat. 1880o 1.JPG 1880 oL.JPG 1880 0 r.JPG

LOL. I have a sense of humor. Bid on another GSA Morgan CC coin that was buy or best offer. Wasn't in love with it. Bid 300, best offer (not an auction). Seller counter offered at 375. I countered with 250. I think I offended him. LOL!!!!! :joyful:
