Guess the Grade: Seated Liberty 25c

    first glance thought au details cleaned/scratched but then remembered it's a quarter so it probably looks less busy in hand, i'll also go au-58

    I think your theory that this coin slid and rattled around in a box of other coins is probably right on target.

    Thanks. Yeah I was really happy with the look in-hand. Of course, like I said, I bet it was stored improperly, but the tone and luster is just outstanding. I think it could have been a MS61 or MS62, but most folks would rather have an attractive AU58 than a low MS.

    Ive got one of these that i am DYING to get back, shouldnt be too much longer now. She had to go off to PCGS for a new outfit, along with a couple of friends.

    That is one beautiful coin!! I would be a really happy owner of it. I still think it's a 62.
