Thanks to all who participated in the GtG! Here are the results:

It was almost 50/50 from the polls, and I think PCGS was on the fence as well. 1961 Lincoln Proofs were notorious for having monster toning (especially blue and purple hues) -- just take a look at WingedLiberty's PCGS registry "Color of Money"! The obverse toning is smooth enough, but I think what tipped the scale for the PCGS graders was the splotchy pink toning that often screams "AT". All in all, I think I have to agree with PCGS about its verdict, due to the abnormal toning pattern on the coin's reverse. Congrats to all who guessed correctly, and I hope you all learned something from this GtG!

Actually, to me, the reverse looks natural....it's the obverse that raises the flags.

If that's artificial, it's definitely deceiving enough to pass grading if run through once or twice more.

Give it another shot, if it's worth it to ya ;)
