The toning is very nice on both. The top one looks to me like a 67+ and maybe PL. while the bottom one comes in at a 63 due to the distracting facial marks. Both nice coins and the toning is very similar to the two I have. Thanks for sharing!
That's me with my magnifying glass trying to read that post. You can adjust your font to a larger size.
Pretty nice photos green - I'm in at 66 for the first and 64 for the second. Looking forward to you next batch.
Ok guys, some updated photos. I shot these with two Verilux goose necks (@ 10:00 & 2:00)........5.6 (ISO 64) 1/50........just a little post production to add some more light and contrast.
Hmmm.... I think I will say top coin could 65 now that I see these nicer images. I might even down grade the bottom coin to a 62.
Gettin' there Rusty. Only need about six more to complete the 'date/mintmark' set on these........then I'll have a stab at the Carver/Washingtons.
I won't venture a guess but will a congrats. I too lack 6 of this set and know the challenge. I might have been a little closer had I not got wound up in a highschool football game and let one get away, but hey we won the game, which was also fulfillment.
That sounds fun! Have you worked on a variety set of Oregon trail halves? I would love to see a complete set of those!
