Only PCGS knows for sure but from experience they are stingy with the + which is perfectly fine. That said I do generally agree with what you posted. It's like online review sites no one goes on to say hey I had this experience that lived up to expectations and they did exactly what they should have. It's the angry people or the people that feel they were wronged or know the best that are the most vocal and give a grossly disproportionate negative view of something. That's just for stores and restaurants, now you add coins to the mix and egos come into play where people want to present themselves as experts or have financial interests they are hoping to advance, a dislike of a TPG for grading their coins harder than they hoped ect. The VERY unfortunate part is that most of the nonsense conspiracy rumors and misinformation comes from people that have very little or no experience with the TPGs. I have many posts explaining how grading doesn't have a right answer like 2+2 and how you can not like something but the grade be right, picture grading vs in hand grading, recognizing ones own grading limitations because anyone who thinks they can always be shown a picture of anything and grade better than PCGS/NGC/CAC who saw it in hand is kidding themselves, and really just trying to have an actual conversation about grading. Unfortunately most of the time the anti-TPG little or no submission experience group derails the conversation with just nonsense internet rumors that they heard one time or claims they have no proof or experience of and make you spend the entire time disproving feelings they have. When asked if they think their skills are better than the actual recognized experts that they are calling wrong or saying they do this or that you very rarely get a straight answer The lynch mob mentality needed to be pushed back on and thankfully many posters have pointed out what needs to be pointed out and lurkers and new members will hopefully realize simply posting, being popular, or even a mod on a forum doesn't make you an actual expert The distorted view of market grading some present is very hard to actually converse with, so are the oh they're just picking whatever grade, everything old will upgrade, massive grading swings ect. Intellectual discussions are a two way street, they're impossible to have with people who approach the subject with just rumors and thinking they have to be right and know the most. The TPGs and CAC are actual experts, we can and some of us like yourself do learn a lot about grading from the decisions they make. When you disagree the first question should be what did I miss, not I know best they're wrong.[/QUOTE]
