So OBVIOUS that you are the only one who can see them. What the heck are you talking about? Baseball21 and I are trying to educate the readers of this forum. There is no bias and we are not one of the kool-aid drinkers you would find on the CU forum. Many years ago, in a similar discussion, I called this forum the kiddy forum, where TPG bashing is rampant from either uneducated new collectors or stubborn old collectors who pine for the good ole days. And while some of you guys may lurk over there, you certainly don’t espouse this anti TPG crap. And while PCGS has a notoriously short fuse and likes to ban people, they wouldn’t need to, as the experienced collectors would show up and set the record straight. And don’t get this twisted, I’m not speaking directly to you, I’m speaking to the group of collectors that I told to pipe down. Honestly, it appears that your disagreement isn’t even related to the TPGs, rather you just seem to be anti anything that Baseball21 has to say.
What a sad sad post. This is why legitimate discussions cannot be had when this kind of drivel gets inserted
Regardless of the bans for extracirrular bickering on CU that is the most educational general forum I’ve found for US coins. It’s not hard to see why so many have condensed their time there with the posting responses legimate posts have gotten I do actually wish he was right though, I’d love to have enough money to own a significant financial position in collectors universe. I could buy everything I possibly could in their stock and wouldn’t even crack the top thousand shareholders What’s even sadder is that as a publicly traded company you can literally look up their biggest shareholders, I am definitely not on that list.
Im not interested in arguing it to death. We can agree to disagree, idc. You guys gonna ride off into the sunset now? You havent convinced anyone btw. We see right through it. You can bash this forum and stroke your egos in a bathroom together for all i care. Have a nice day.
Um, my definition of market grading? A website? You need reading glasses, buster. It's PCGS' definition of market grading and PCGS' website. And if this doesn't tie their style of grading into the market price, I don't know what does. In fact, that's why I said I like the grade they gave the old girl. Add the CAC, too. Accepting the way they grade, which is really just market appraising couched in terms of grades to fool chums like you and @baseball21, et al., that is the grade on that colorful baby. Are you beginning to get how arbitrary and capricious their little racket is? I doubt it. You two have too much wind invested in defending them for that. And no, you better believe I never let them get their dirty fingers on my coins. And the ones I purchase, I send their plastic off to recycling, and not just because it's bad for the environment...
