No it wouldn't. I'd rather just quickly give the answer, so that I don't have to do any of that. It's a Sony point and shoot with a Macro button. The light bulb in the lamp is the color that the photo represents.
According to what you said, it would take daylight to get better pictures than the second image you posted of the full obverse you gave after I suggest you post another. Whatever you are doing with the camera settings, they are not representing the coin very well and the colors wildly differ from the first post to the later ones, especially in color temperature, so I suggested working on balance. Better pics help people guess the grade you asked them to do in this exercise. Slabs are notorious difficult to get used to shooting through. The intense lighting you're using is also making it hard to shoot through the slab as the later image shows a lot of reflection off the plastic. I'm lost on the comment you made about giving a quick answer though...
No worries, take your time, find yourself. I'll consider your real photo tips, once I get a real camera, with real settings. Since I haven't been able to adjust the scanner or the point and shoot to your liking, either try your luck, or don't. I'd rather just give the answer, as to what the grade is, than to continue this discussion. If I had a better camera or scanner, I would surely indulge. The coin is in a slab, fairly thin and deeper in the coin opening, when looking at the obverse. Out of my control. When the scanner passes over it, the depth of the opening casts a shadow on the top of the coin.
Is that slab not old enough for the grade or grading to be a bit more conservative than that? Thanks!
As I expected, most thought AU and it was given much more. Poor eye appeal may limit resale value or be an opportunity for those willing to buy the coin with spots and wear as demonstrated on the obverse. Thanks for the grading exercise.
That's not really a question... My comment spoke theoretically by the use of the word "resale" suggesting that future value may not be helped by the grade on the slab given the lacking eye appeal. Perhaps now you can understand better my previous comment but I'm beginning to suspect you awoke on the wrong side of the bed.
I'm beginning to wonder if all your 18 000+ forum responses are as useful as the ones you provided here. Thanks for coming out.
You're inserting way too much into this and becoming a bit rude. I did enjoy looking at your coin and trying to understand the grade. Have a nice day, Regards.
I swear, it's like having 18 000+ channels and nothing on. I believe you know everything about everything, but, you obviously don't read the posts of others, you just respond like it's a texting contest. Have you ever considered the fact that you might just initiate the responses you get in return? Tell me more about those settings. You had to guess after I said they were? Good luck, at this rate I'm sure you'll be at 36 000 posts in no time. You can gain and maintain speed by not stopping to read the posts of others. Keep up the good work!
AU-63 anyone . I swear I see some wear , but with market grading what more can you expect . Also maybe worn dies make it seem like wear and could be responsible for the 0 in the date .
Well, get used to it, until they become ban worthy. There is no need for beating a dead horse. I already killed the horse in my initial posts. With me, reading the posts and understanding the conversation, prior to going on a rant about photo improvements and sidetracking the topic, is always advisable.
