    the gut+1 method appears to be working nicely for me...
    btw... .222 is pretty outstanding also BT....
    oh well,,, no place to go now but down :devil:

    LOL - working really well for you.:) Exactly how I started this and now my gut is not working to well. Plus I think the next 2 I got confused on which coin I was looking at and guessed the same grade for both. :) But tpg's make mistakes also. :)

    PS - I think sometimes they determine color based off eye appeal and not the real color of the coin.

    I believe the naked eye plays a huge role with TPG's. When the grader picks up that coin he has decided the grade and color within those first 3-4 seconds without using any magnification. Any closer inspection is just to verify as the best graders rarely change their minds after that first look.

    I know it's extremely difficult for me to. If I do, the grade is certainly going in the bad direction!
