I hate weak strikes. If I didn't know it was strike, I'd say XF, but given the strike... I graded based upon color and the rims. I'd say 63 with a very VERY small bit o' red.

That narrows it down since there are countless combinations of a "majority."

I don't see any wear on this coin from a year well noted for weak strikes. The strike is not that bad. At least every wheat line is still there. Luster is not great, but it has some and there are no distracting marks or nicks. FWIW, the graining is not visible to the naked eye and just visible with my loupe (6X, I think). I would have a tendency to give this a 63 ( strike does not count much until you get to about 65), but NGC only gave it a 62. My guess is they count luster more than I.

BTW, my picture did not catch it well, but there is a pretty good ghost of Lincoln on the reverse.

Tough issue, all kinds of problems with the branch mints this year. I think it's a real solid 63 considering the issue....plus it has some nice woodgraining that I'm always a sucker for. These are scarce in any color in MS.

If I had to do it over again I'd still give this a 63 . Kinda hard to get it right when the tpg got it wrong . Well at least Irish and the others are mostly back .
