66 b/c PCGS is very stingy with 67, and the apparently freshly polished dies likely have slightly muted luster as a result.
This and http://www.cointalk.com/t207615/ will be ending tonight. I will be out of pocket next week so no new one tonight.
The obverse of this coin has great luster, great strike and only tiny noise. The reverse has great luster, and a great strike also, but also some faint spots and at least some visible nicks (above ONE). It might make a 67 from NGC, but only a 66 from PCGS. BTW, for those of you who voted for a 67, don't I wish. There are only 31 of them at $2,000 to $3,000 a pop.

That's a killer coin....esp at 66. I think it would +. I was soooooo close to picking 67 with that obverse. There's zero doubt to me that NGC would 7 that coin. The obverse is basically flawless as these come. It has that just blinding luster too. I don't think it's fair to hold this to a 66 due to the reverse...it's not that bad IMO....it has the blazing luster too.
