I am new to grading these, so I am probably wrong, but although it looks like it could be a 67, I put it at 66 because of the ding or whatever problem with the right hand wheat stalk on the reverse (to the right and above the last s in states). I don't know, but I don't feel that should up it to a 67.

That is very interesting. I should have put 2 and 2 together since the rolls were labeled 1942 and the mercs were not UNC. I am even more appreciative, after hearing that you have searched through so many mercs without ever encountering one. I was remembering the time I caught my biggest largemouth bass. I kept casting over and over for about 2 hours in the same spot. Had a crank-bait on and when he hit it was magic. (8 1/2 pounds). That's kinda the feeling I got when I saw the 2 over 1. Just like finding an arrowhead out in a cornfield. I was actually using my sons flashlight on the dates, and could make the 1 out with the naked eye. It wasn't as pronounced as the example in the ana 6th, but I gave it a look with my 7X and sure enough it was there. I plan on getting a camera with a tripod, and I'll post pictures. What a day.

This one has kind of a matte finish that apparently does not photograph well. Believe me, the luster is there as is the strike and it is nearly mark free. In hand, this is a solid 67. NGC called it a 67 and I agree.

No major changes this time. Leadfoot and Thad exchanged places as did ldhair and rzage.

Top 10. Columns are rank, name, average, and number of guesses.
