I guess I screwed the pooch on this 1. Lol I picked 62, I should've looked at everybody else' votes before I voted.
An interesting coin. The obverse has a nick, but the rest of the coin is nearly free of them. The shoulder shows some light planchet marks. The obverse may not be the best representative I have ever seen, but that reverse more than makes up for it. No marks, a great strike, and great luster. I suspect NGC netted it out to a 66.
Since we have so many new entree this week, I thought I would explain the criteria; Each week, this list is averaged from the last 50 "contests". It is a rolling average. 1 and 2 are added this week and what is now 51 and 52 are removed. You have to have entered at least 38% of the contests (usually 19) to be counted. (Yes, I raised it a bit form 1/3.) At the 10th entry, your worst score is removed from your average. At the 20th entry, your second worst score is removed from your average. Believe me, I don't do all those calculations each week. Excel does. All kinds of movement this week. I have no idea why ldhair moved so far save that his low entries make him more reactive to changes. However, Leadfoot remains in the lead. Top 10. Columns are rank, name, average, and number of guesses. Leadfoot 0.425 42 rzage 0.444 29 ldhair 0.474 21 BadThad 0.500 46 mark_h 0.521 50 ericgo 0.526 21 bahabully 0.535 45 ddoomm1 0.548 33 swhuck 0.565 48 jcakcoin 0.611 38
Thought the toning on both sides would boost the grade , obverse is real nice toning wize and the reverse is beautiful . I'd be proud to own this coin .
:thumb: to leadfoot. I'm thinking you are at the top more than anyone here and you vote on most every coin. You have a great eye for grading from images. Have learned a lot from your post. With that said, watch out leadfoot. I want that #1 spot
