I think it's lovely as all get-out. The 1954-S is, on average, the worst struck WQ in the entire regular silver series, in my opinion. I would grade the coin either MS66 or MS67 and would need to see it in-hand to see the boom of the luster and how the toning affects the eye appeal. It is a terrific 1954-S.
Tom, When it comes to your opinion about this series, we can all take it to the bank. The luster is all there and it really is hard to portray the attractiveness of this coin in a photo. In hand, it is absolutely terrific.
I gotta give it to you guys. A whole bunch of you hammered this one, even if it was years ago. Btw Tom, I was not aware that the 54-S was the worst struck Washington Quarter. The 1954-S is also the worst struck Jefferson Nickel of the entire series. Those boys at the San Francisco mint were slackin in 54 huh?
