how many collecters know that in the early years of NGC they did not slab the Jefferson Nickel indicating the coin had full steps?

Can you define early years ? I know NGC used to require 6 full steps for the FS designation until a few years ago, but I've never heard what you are saying. I also know that they would not slab any coin minted 1965 and later until 2002 I think it was.

    Wow,

Nobody was even close on this one. I don't know if the large photos are over emphasizing the distractions, but I don't see how one could think this coin is not at least an MS66 by NGC Jefferson Nickel standards.

why isn't MS67FS close looking at a photo?

Because you didn't vote in the poll. That is where I was looking.

My first thought was also wrong, I wanted to find out about the streak and lost track of the thread, believe my first impression was 67-FS, but that's not necessarily true, cuz I can't swear by it.

Very nice coin, I still don't like the streak in the hair, high grade or not.

I don't know, that looks like PVC on the reverse.

look at the U of UNUM and to the left of the P mintmark.

Or, perhaps I do need new glasses.
