    I have a certain soft spot for 1942-Ds. I once put together a nice UNC set of Jeffs and the 42-D was one of the coins that I had the hardest time finding one that I was pleased with. Finding them in MS wasn't difficult, but finding them nicely struck and clean was a pursuit to say the least. I long ago sold the set, but still have 2 42-Ds. here's one for your perusal.
