Where did I say cleaned? has it been messed with Imo yes. Even after seeing the ICG slab my opinion stays the same.

Remember , whether a proper cleaning or improper cleaning its been messed with, and I doubt seriously that the top 2 would straight grade it. Also these are opinions from images not coin in hand

It is possible the coin has been messed with , lots of slabbed coins, even in top TPGs slabs have been.. It's more or less if they think the coin is still market acceptable.
Myself I believe the coin would cross with either of the top two, possibly a cross under to 53 but I don't think it would cross out !
Your right we all have our own opinions, it just seems that almost every thread a few will point out only possible problems, never an optimistic thing to say about a person coin ..

I thought the title of the thread was guess the grade...

I had no disparaging remarks, I merely spoke my opinion of the coin.

FWIW, the ICG slab doesn't change my opinion one iota.

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

Do you consider a straight ICG grade as dispositive? I have to warn you not everyone does. The reputation, right or wrong, is that they are a bit easier on things like cleaning. And further, it matters quite a bit in which year ICG graded it, too. Ownership changed hands, I believe.
