I'm rather new at this, lol. It's basically a great looking coin on both sides to me but I have a question on the breast feathers--is that wear, or something in the photo or what? I would say ms65,66--except for that
1.Because mint state Morgan's are large heavy coins and spent a lot of time being jostled around in bags, what may pass for coin to coin contact is tolerated, and will not knock a coin out of mint state. 2. Also the reverse is less important than the obverse when grading Morgan's. 3. Photos under the light often exaggerate light shaves and minor contact marks, we take that into consideration in these GTGs. Do a lot of looking and you'll get the eye for it all. I missed this one myself though, badly.
Im glad that you asked, sorry I havent been able to look at this for you sooner. The reason I am glad you asked the question is that sometimes my guess the grades are misunderstood by the masses and I need to clarify more. Somtimes I am not so much guessing the grade as much as "giving a grade" which is why I can be off a few grades sometimes On this coin I would say this coin is: AG/66 CG/66+ AG=As Graded CG=Correct Grade
I appreciate the clarification @ed wood 654 ! @heavycam.monstervam I hope that helps answer your question!
Oh wow hes good !!!! I see why that enormous bidding war/legal battle ensued months ago. Then Ed ended up with a sports car AND a private jet
