Just got back my submission of 6 coins from CAC. It confirmed that I have no idea what JA likes. Let's see how good you can guess.

I don't know either but my guess is the dime and large cent were the only winners.

I like the 1909 S/S and the large cent for the beans.

All of the coins are proper graded, except the large cent, which got the bean.

I think the Merc and the '09 S/S got a bean.

I think the 1921-D Mercury Dime and the 1909-S/S Lincoln Cent got green stickers. I'm betting the rest failed. Here are my guesses as to why:
    Franklin Half: spotting
31-S Lincoln: too many marks on the Lincoln and the letter "N" on the rev. for a ms65
1857 Large Cent: verdigris in devices on the reverse and carbon spot on obverse star.
1926 Standing 25c: Significant luster breaks and/or marks in fields, especially the reverse.

My general rule of thumb when submitting to CAC is that he green beans coins that (to me) look like a full grade higher than what the holder says. And he only gold beans the one's that look just plain stupid in their current holder.

I believe problems like luster breaks, carbon spots, verdigris, as well as hits and bag marks in prominent areas, are automatically rejected by CAC. And for MS coins, I have found that he wants booming luster with original toning. If it's dated 1800's and it's "too white," it typically gets rejected, in my experience and from what I've seen.

I will say the spotting on the Franklin proof looks way worse in the pic than in hand. My camera seems to exaggerate proof spotting. I wouldn't have bought and submitted it if it looked like that in hand.

I am going to guess none either. Having said that I like a couple of the coins - the large cent(of course), the Frankie and the walking liberty.

I guess that the Franklin and the 31-S did not bean.

The 1931-S has too many marks to be considered a solid MS65 IMHO.
The large cents looks overgraded by at least one interval. I would probably call it AU50+ or AU53.

So it looks like most people didn't think the 31 S should sticker. The results are:
No bean for the 1921 D Merc or the 1926 SLQ. The rest stickered.
Now who has lost faith in CAC? When i submitted, I would have guessed the 09 S/S would not sticker due to the color not being fully red anymore, the 31 S was borderline due to the marks, and my dealer thought the 21 D would get a green and maybe gold bean. Just goes to show who knows what will sticker.
