You threw us a knuckler on that one Paul. Any plans on re-submitting?

So what were you thinking it would hit when you submitted it?

I cracked the coin out and sold it raw for $30. The $20 grading fee the first time ensured that I would lose money on the coin, no reason to resubmit and throw good money after bad.

I was sure it would get MS65FB.

Unbelievable! And you know I said "unc. details" initially but was so embarrassed that I changed it to a good grade. This demonstrates what I would describe as NGC's "sadistic" grading recently with perfectly good coins, I have had coins they called "cleaned" that major dealers have no idea what they are talking about! Too bad we can't grade the graders; next group I send to PCGS!

I would never have guessed it was cleaned. It's clearly FB and a nice strike. However, there are too many marks to grade above MS64 (imo).

The grading services make money every time.

Recently I've seen many PCGS slabs that make me do a double take. I see no reason why this merc shouldn't have been graded. This is going from pics only but still. Great merc and if it did grade I have a good feeling that it would come back a 65FB.
