Dude....Why would you do that? For Shame. Do you even know who she is? She's the famous relative of someone famous.
From the movie "Vertigo", directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Starring Kim Novak and Jimmy Stewart. Voted the best movie ever.
Fertile imagination. Coin collectors are flexible. I endorse Novakians and Kimites, as soul brothers in search of perfection of performance.
1793 chain cent has a portrait of one of the witches from Macbeth: Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. Fillet of a fenny snake, In the caldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting, Lizard's leg and howlet's wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble. Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. Cool it with a baboon's blood, Then the charm is firm and good.
I am into Witches. Kim Novak: Bell, Book and Candle. With the added bonus of Jimmy Stewart and Jack Lemmon. Interesting how all things lead to Kim Novak. I think she was a coin collector. Thus, this is how we got to Kimismatics in this thread. There ought to be a Novakian Coin Game Thread.
Agreed. SBAs may be boring and uninspired, but I could say the same about several other U.S. coins. Beyond that, there are far uglier coins around the world, particularly circulating moderns from some of the poorer countries.
I will never understand why it matters, or why anyone cares, whether Susan B. Anthony was attractive or not. She's known for other things besides her looks, which goes the same for Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin, Churchill, none of which anyone would probably call "attractive men," but no one complains about those designs. I think the coin is a good likeness of SBA and a nice design overall. I don't care and it doesn't matter at all whether she passes today's beauty standards or not. And her looks have nothing to do with "her day" either as you can find plenty of historic photos of women that would pass today's beauty standards, or at least pass for "pretty." Not that it matters whatsoever.
Witches don't like pictures of them floating around, either, especially when their 'familiar" (cat ) is present. It is usually Warlocks that try to prevent it. Sooooooo.......
