Gtg reeded bust half

    AU-58. Most of the field luster is gone, but the details are still very sharp.

    I don't think so. I think the toning is obscuring some of the luster. It could go either way, as the coin is a slider, but I would go with MS on this one.

    Straight grade means ....no details like the coin was cleaned or altered surfaces .

    Look at the areas around the stars, in front and behind the bust, and above the eagle. You can see a halo effect caused by the wearing away of luster.

    Going out on a limb but I think Ngc gave it a 61/62. Me 58 due to rims

    Great looking coin! I have a terrible time judging luster on toned coins, I'll venture AU55.

    Not my specialty, but I will go with AU58, though I suspect I might be low.

    Technical grade of 58 due to rub, market graded to 61/62 for eye appeal as it has decent looking surfaces.
