    Good afternoon!

Just received this back from NGC today - so as requested, here's a GTG for it. I've taken some new photos (as NCS performed some conservation on it.) If anyone wants to just cheat and find out the grade, I already have it listed (hopefully that follows the forum rules enough, not trying to self-promote outside the For Sale area.) Will reveal the grade later on tonight.

    Enjoy!

Well, I'm tired of waiting for responses (or maybe everyone just has me on ignore now) - and it's time to stop looking at a computer for a while...so here's the grade (no one got it right in the poll above):

Palestine Souvenir Token NGC MS61BN Slab - Obverse.jpg

I think BN was a bit harsh...this coin/token still has PLENTY of red left in it (not saying it should be RD, but RB...come on.)

    Have a great week.

Wow! Just checked Ebay - I had no idea how pricey this thing is. I'll have to keep my eyes open LOL.

that's a very odd grade. I don't think I've ever seen anything graded at 61

I was thinking the same thing. Not too many foreign 20th century pieces graded 61

Cool stuff. Sorry I didn't pick up on your thread earlier.

Comparing it to the pictures in the earlier "Let's play a game" thread, it looks like NGC lightened it up a little (or what was the conservation?) without making it look cleaned. But if it's truly uncirculated, I would have thought it a higher grade. Thoughts?

    Hi @stldanceartist :

I guessed MS62/3 (I was guessing MS62). The spot at 1-2 o'clock on the obverse (near the holder prong) looks like it could be lightly corroded. I agree with the "brown" designation from the pictures provided.

I think MS61 is a touch harsh, especially since that grade is given largely to borderline problem MS coins. Nonetheless, an attractive coin.
