Hello everyone. Recently I purchased my first PCGS slabbed morgan. I got it for a very fair price and I have been in love with it ever since.

With that said, try to guess the grade it recieved. I'll post the slab grade soon.

P.S. the hairlines on the reverse are NOT scratches, they are die polish lines.

O is the closest mine to where I am as well. In fact I'd say about 3/5ths of all of my Morgans are O mints;).

    64. Obverse could put it into the PL category but I’m not sure about the reverse. You can’t have enough New Orleans mint coins.

64 PL. Maybe DMPL, but that’s crazy hard to tell from a single, static photo.

Lots of die polish lines on the obverse, behind Miss Liberty's head also, but as this has been "Modernly Graded", (polite new term) I'll say 64PL.
    Otherwise a 62/63. IMO
Has a real shot at DMPL, because the polishing lines are so prominent in the fields. If fields were more satiny, they wouldn't be as visible correct ?
Very hard to tell from the pics, but appears to be at least PL.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

    I have to agree.

If it is in a problem-free holder, that scratch explains the low price you paid.

    UNC details, scratched.

Anything else is wrong. I will flat-out say it.

There's an NGC MS64 PL for sale on ebay right now, David Lawrence, in fact, with a terrible circular scratch on the face. The cameo might outweigh the scratch for the graders.

Got a link? PL DMPL as a designator should not be weighted against a scratch, insofar as a straight grade determination.
Nor for that matter should CAM DCAM in the case of proof coins.
