Not my coin but I don't know if I agree with this grade so I wanted to see your opinions! I'm removing my image and just going to add the true view, honor system not to look it up.
I’m not sure if the TruView is hiding something, but something makes me think it might be. So I’m guessing UNC Details - Altered Surfaces
Well if you guys haven't looked yet I say go ahead. I think this coin is deserving of a different grade. Can you see why it doesnt? What do you all think?
I cheated right off the bat. That being said she does look undergraded to me. Very clean in the focal areas, especially the cheek. I wouldn't blink at 66.
Hi, I'm new to this site and don't know a whole lot about the coins I have. Can someone help me out with what GTG stands for? Also, can I get advise on getting a better image of my coins? I tried taking pictures and scanning, but neither capture the true likeness of the coins. I have what appears to be some uncirculated Morgans and they all have "bag marks" on them and would like to post them to get some opinions.
The problem is that it isn’t uncommon for a PCGS Truview to turn an MS64 into an MS66. I would love to say this coin is undergraded but I won’t until I see the coin in hand.
I'd like to know why it didn't get the PL designation. Is it because of the reverse as @Lehigh96 stated? I can't believe that whoever submitted wouldn't have paid the extra $ for the designation.
Would have said MS65. Definite proof like obverse, reverse holding it back from that designation. I just bought this date and mintmark 20 minutes ago. Can't wait to have it in hand That said, I like finding coins discounted for something that doesn't bother me that much. That's a smokin' obverse, save the brow. My 84 CC is a 62 with incredible mirrors, no PL designation. Got it for the price of a 62
