GTG Matte proof Lincoln with problems.

    I agree that the coin was cleaned at one time. Matte Proofs can be dull or have dull luster, but this one especially on the reverse seems to be dull from post mint damage.

    Here's one that is in a PCGS Matte Proof-66, R&B holder. I'd love to get the one with the "V.D.B." on the reverse to complete my 20th century Proof coin type set, but that's not possible unless you take a second mortgage on your house.

    The square outside rim edge rather than chamfered, like this one.

    isn't a matte proof produced by sandblasted dies?
