GTG & its Possible Restoration Grade: 1942 Washington 25C Proof

    FYI in case anyone was wondering, PCGS just told me that the grade is guaranteed. So if I were to get it restored and it downgrades, they'll refund the grading fee. I'm guessing they'll do everything to justify otherwise and grade it at least the same.

    They'd probably just regrade it exactly the same so they wouldn't have to pay anything out imo.

    I'll guess fees and postage are going to run $50? These in PCGS PR66 holders sell in the $80 to $100 range.

    Yeah, I bought it for less than that range though :)

    So no chance that it's a PR-67?

    It's hard to see what's going on with all that brown haze.

    Actually, now that I take a closer look, there are a lot of little nicks so I may not send it in at all.
