    Sincerely.... I need some education here please...... I enjoy this series and thought I had a reasonable handle on grade considering I am a collector and not an educated numismatist.

    On the 1883 I see a bit of flattened hair above her brow. I do not see any other signs of circulation, but to me that small bit of flattened hair indicated light circulation...... Obviously I am wrong. So what is the cause of the flattening of the hair above her brow? Is it due to a deteriorating and cracked die? Or am I seeing things?.... Seriously, I want to know for my own education.
