Well at least it's not a 38D Seems folks got pretty tired of them, this is close enough though. What's the grade the TPG gave it? This coin is so blast white that I had trouble getting a photo to not come out blue. Yes a pain to photo.
If you saw this in hand the fields are very dark and reflective. When looking at it, almost a Pl looking surface. (lots of polishing lines under magnification) They are the best I have been able to get. Sorry
I'll say 66 also...and you know there are 9 1937 D varieties And never get tired of looking at a 38 D
It looked close to PL when I first looked as well. I'm guessing this one is very nice in hand! I'll say MS 66
