Pickin has a great coin I want, and still hasn't made a seller's offer yet. :p I'm starting a new thread so I don't stomp on this great pick up he made.

I've got a damned ANACs slab that insulted me back during the summer. Not only did they not give it a MS grade, it's almost upside down in their crappy yellow slab.:p I think they gave it a 58 or 55. I'm having a chat with their rep at the next coin show. lol

I am sorry I upset you, but when it comes to the 1881-S dollar, there are so many nice ones that the market does not give them a great deal of respect. If you had an 1890 that looked like that, the graders would doing handsprings. The 1890 is a common date, but most of the Uncs have subdued luster and are not great eye appealing coins.

Did the ANA own ANACS during the "soap box slab" period?

Your opinion matters. I could see someone being harsh on the coin and giving it a 64. But a 63 is preposterous, I am guessing that it happened at the time. By the way riled is much different than upset or angry. Thanks for your input Bill.
