I'm still gradually upgrading the SLQ top set and these 2 are my latest acquisitions - both are straight graded and slabbed. Kind of fun to see a Type 1 in direct comparison to a Type 2. I LOVE GETTING NEW COINS (and finding old ones ;) ) Happy Thanksgiving all! Sellers pics, they ship next Tuesday after the holiday.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Oooh, tough to grade using only those tiny pics.

From what I see, I'd call the Type 1 a 53-ish (up or down one grade).

    I'd call the Type 2 a 63-ish (up or down a grade).

Seems to me like wear on the knee and on the wing tips. AU50 (don't get mad, just trying to learn)

These are two different coins ;)

Which one are you talking about, the top one or the bottom one?

I like the type 1 as a strong AU-50. I think the type 2 is probably a very attractive coin in person but I can't get a lock on a grade because of the toning. Congrats anyway, nice coins.

I'm feeling a tad lazy to GTG right now, but I will say that I like the Denver coin.

    Those are hard to see.
I like the luster left on the D AU55.
The type 2 is real mushy.
I am torn between AU and MS AU58

They came early! Sam Sloat (VCoins) shipped on Tuesday (I paid Tuesday afternoon - and they are about 50 miles away) instead of after the holiday. I hope these pictures are better. I am working on that. Also, thank you for the PhotoScape recommendation - that's what I'm using for editing. Reveal soon! Love the input, thanks!

The 1917, type 2, is graded by ANACS at AU55 and the 1917-D, type 1, is graded at AU50. Pictures below and also pictures of the first 2 pages of my SLQ collection as upgraded with these. Thank you for your guesses, you guys are pretty sharp.

So if I take the average of the 50 and 55, then I get my 53 guess. :p
