I've see this on a ton of 60's and 70s coins which were left in the mint packages. Roller marks and all. The roller marks can be almost undetectable by sight, until they tone. It always seems more pronounced on the bigger coins too. Couple that with the mint packaging from the 60's and 70s which toned coins all the time if they were left in the packaging for long periods of time and you get that effect above. I've been studying these by TPG images and your us pretty nick free on the bust and especially in the fields. I'd say this has an easy chance at a 65, if not a 66. I just bought two NGC MS-65s and they aren't as nice as yours.
OK - THANKS - sometimes sarcasm is funny as hell and sometimes a coin lesson from someone that has more knowledge than you is well appreciated!!!!!!
Getting ready to snow blow the driveway and shovel the snow out of the duck coop!! West of Cleveland tonight!!
Ok, This thread just got interesting. What is a Indian runner duck? What is the purpose of having 17 of them? They dont freeze or get their heads lopped off by owls?
True on the hawk, but for the fox they put'em here. My sister has ducks...they're like her kids...this little shack has a little covered fenced in area off the far side of it in the pic...they can be in or out and still protected...I'm not sure what markus1959 does for his....looks like they're fenced in
They dont fly - they can run pretty fast. Some were hatched by me and I rescued a few of them from people that didn't want them anymore. They love cold weather and they have a fenced in coop.
That's their breed characteristic and he was in a box cauce he hurt his leg and I had to rehab him in the house.
Dang...the difference between those pics is huge..I see a thumb print in the front of Ike's face, but that might be on the holder. The surface is a bit more chattery than the first pic...either way its still a nice coin and I think under graded a bit.
