65 - looks like a little damage to the D in UNITED and the R in DOLLAR on the reverse.
    Beautiful coin, though.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I am at 65+. Too many marks on the bust for a 66. The luster is strong, and the strike is typical for 1963. These are hard to get in 66, and even harder in FBL (1963 is a key date in high grade FBL). I do like the subtle toning on yours.

For comparison purposes, here is my NGC 65+* FBL. Mark Salzberg said the only thing keeping this from 66 was the small nick at k3 on the obverse. Mine has less marks on the bust and bell than yours, but I think yours is still a premium 65. The marks on the jawbone of mine are high point pitting from a less than complete strike - which the TPGs will allow even on a 66 coin.

I really want to say 65. But the reeding hit and other light marks on the cheek' shoulder and fields both in front and behind his head make me want to say 64 however the dripping luster makes me stick with 65 and no fbl. Heck, I almost want to say 66

I say MS-63. Too many marks on the center of the reverse.

And the winner via a "Photo Finish" and was the longshot at the beginning @longshot!!! :p:p:D:D Sorry, couldn't resist the horse race analogy...

It's in a small ANACS holder and when quoted the price by my local dealer, to have said no would have been very foolish. It has very nice eye appeal. I sure wish CAC would certify these old ANACS holders. They would look so good with a green or gold bean..
