I picked this beautiful coin up today. Guess the grade, and price. Graded by PCGS.

Also, the slab is slightly scuffed and dirty, so some of the flaws you might see on the coin might be on the slab.

I must be very conservative today. My initial feeling was MS-64, but I will say MS-65 as some of what I think I see may be on the holder and not the coin. I don't think it got FBL.

Well, Here it is! Beefer got it right, and Heavycam was able to figure out that it was an OGH. I paid $35, it is my first slabbed half dollar. The holder looks to be a very early one, from 1986-1989 I think. No hologram on the back of the slab even. Beautiful coin in my opinion, probably my nicest Franklin Half so far. DSC_0309.JPG

Very nice Franklyn. Who's the grading company?

This style slab was before the FBL began being used.

    Looks like a 65, maybe 66.
    No FBL.
This is an extremely common coin in the gem grades so I’ll guess you got it fairly cheap at $30.

It's an old slab from when PCGS had just started grading coins. It looks almost nothing like the later PCGS slabs, and is even smaller than them. I actually thought that this type of slab was from one of those unreliable ripoff TPGs when I first saw it at a coin show.

I bought this coin at an antique shop.

That might regrade a notch better, but I don't think those steps are full.
